My mother went through this in November of 2011. Her band was placed in December of 2011. Since then, she has lost almost 60 pounds! I am going to be relying on her to get me through this liquid diet phase. I am thankful to have someone to support me.
I know that the first few days will be difficult. I will be working some of those days in the ER. Someone is always having a birthday or a doctor is bringing donuts. I will have to really keep control of myself. I am serious about losing weight and I want to do whatever is necessary to accomplish my goal.
I have heard that some people lose up to 15 pounds while on the 2 week liquid diet. I think my mom did. That would be nice to have a 15 pound head start on the band.
I lost 13 in my 2 weeks. I felt amazing just accomplishing that much!! Good Luck Wendy!! I know you can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteI destroyed my body with a crash diet over a year ago. That summer I ended up with an abnormal heart beat, and chest inflammation, and fibromyalgia flaring more days than not to mention diabetic, a screwed up female cycle that is STILL not back to normal and a year after lost a pregnancy. I am a mess. All this to say, you know yourself best, just take care. I thought I knew what I could handle, I was wrong, so so wrong. Oh and one last thing... make sure all those sure free drinks are aspertame free ok! Thinking of you and your fabulous self!
ReplyDeleteKim, I am sorry you had such a hard time with it. I hope my experience goes smoother.
